The Shadows by Alex North

Oh Alex, how I love you and the twisted tales you write. After reading The Whisper Man, I had high expectations for this book. I was not let down. This is Alex North’s second offering following his debut that I loved as well.
This was a fast paced, gripping thriller that made my jaw drop several times. Just when I thought I had it figured out, the little twist in the last few chapters had me unable to form full sentences. Highly recommend this book and look forward to reading more of Alex’s thrillers in the future.
I did have a little trouble keeping up with the different characters at first, but once I really got into the book it wasn’t an issue any longer. The twists were so unexpected and that’s exactly what I love in a thriller. I like to be surprised, not guessing the ending. This one was not predictable for me at all.
