I’m so invested. What are the red handprints? Why are there so many? Who’s in the house? Will the detective manage her job any better? Will her partner do his job and continue with the sass?
I could compare it to an episode of the series Hannibal but that wouldn’t do it justice. Just enough revealing information to not give the mystery away whilst still keeping me hooked on continuing! The descriptions really set the scene and there’s no need for full character introductions as you get the feel who they are just from their very well written actions.
I need to know how we went from this amazing mother son relationship to him not visiting in 20(?) years.
All in all a great 3 chapters that filled my evening and made me want more!
