Suspenseful
True crime is usually more interesting to me than fictional novels about crimes, but reading this was actually quite fun. I like that the sample dives right in to the action of the story. We're given a good amount of tantalizing information about the past, but we aren't bogged down with too much exposition. I also liked that this wasn't a book only about the crime. The main characters are set up as coping with real human struggles. And in a way that lends itself to a possible development of a bond between them.
