A dead body in the past and now another one. Are they tied together?
First the cover is hauntingly amazing that it draws you in and says grab me and read!!!! Are you about to read about something paranormal or a psychothriller or maybe a combo of both.
The prologue gets your senses and feet wet with the past and a murder but what kind of murder and who? And who is Charlie? Who is mom and what part does she know?
Then the book begins and we meet a Detective who seems to be investigating a murder but could it be a ritual killing? It seems that way but we shall see....
The mom (Daphne) and Mr. Adams is an intriguing duo who were tangled up in the murder from the prologue. Reading Chapter 2 it seems as tho Daphne becomes obsessed by something after Mr. Adams reaches for a book. Why the devil face on this book and what does this book possess? What is it's significance? And how or why did it seem like Daphne got possessed as soon as Mr. Adams turned it over?
Sooooo many questions that make me want to find out more ....
I like the writing style and the first perspective it is written in for part of this book. It adds an extra level and interest on how the story unfolds.
