I've not read Alex North's previous book, but something about the premise of The Shadows just peaked my interest and in reading the excerpt it's peaked even more. I'm interested to see how Amanda and Paul's storylines eventually intersect as I'm assuming is the plan. As well as how past and present intersect. There's an eerie feeling in just the small section read, but the writing just pulled me in from the first sentence. This is definitely I read I'll be keeping an eye out for upon release and has me interested in Alex North's previous book.
