Any opening scene involving a crime scene and police is always a good start. This one has me hooked already and I'm anxious to keep reading. The book immediately jumps ahead to a female detective's point of view while visiting her father's grave, a fellow police officer. She gets called to a scene with hundreds of bloody handprints and a body, the same exact place where a body of child was found 2 years earlier. It seems like this crime is still haunting the detective and I can't wait to get my hands on this full trhiller!
