I'm so interested in this book because Whisper Man-- had so much potential and so I'm interesting in seeing if this second book by Alex North will give me what I need. For starters- the prologue is incredibly creepy and seems prophetic into what the book will hold.. I really enjoyed this line- "Back then, it felt like my entire life was constrained and controlled by the adults around me, and yet none of them appeared to have noticed the black flower rotting in the middle of the yard. Or else they had decided it was easier to leave it alone—that the grass it was poisoning didn’t matter."

I think this book is what I was looking for in Whisper Man!!
