I don’t typically read a ton of gruesome thrillers (I am a scaredy cat and generally prefer legal thrillers), but every once in a while the mood strikes me for quick-paced reads that make your heart beat faster. This gave me chills from the get-go, and I am eager to find out where it goes next. I appreciated the style of jumping through time a bit, with the prologue in the past of protagonist Paul then moving ahead to current times. I hope we get more of this flashback style throughout the novel so we learn more about the original murders. Although I am nervous this book might be a bit too gruesome for my tastes and creep me out, I am hooked and want to know where the story leads!
