I was touched in a way that I was almost in a scared child like state reading THE WHISPER MAN. Now reading about The Shadows, I know my nightmares from a year past have returned.
Detective Beck once again returns in this eerily similar case where something is amiss and no child is safe. Is the past going to repeat itself or has something new dark and sinister come along that the town must now fight to protect their own?
I’m so drawn to what Paul’s mom is seeing while suffering from dementia and cancer; is it a warning that she only can see that must be taken seriously? The red hands? What happened in the past resulted from Paul’s childhood friends. Could history be repeating itself or are there copycats at play?
I don’t know but I’m dying to find out. I do know one thing, a mother’s intuition is never wrong.
