I enjoyed this brief yet promising preview. I loved the author's The Whisper Man and I wasn't expecting the same from The Shadows, but I am skeptical that at the pace set by the first few chapter that we'll get the a similar level of excitement and suspense. However, this was a good start and I loved the writing, which was as atmospheric and detailed as I had hoped for. I'm looking forward to reading more and discovering more about the characters and to see where the plot will lead me.
