The moment I laid my eyes on this cover, I knew I needed to read this book. Fortunately, I won the book through bookishfirst after submitting my first impression of the first six chapter.

In TSISASAI, we are introduced to our main characters, Harlow, Ellis, and Tommy, in West Finch, a small beach town in Maine. During a terrible storm, Tommy goes out for a swim he had no intentions surviving. When he unexpectedly returns, it shakes things up between the three teens.

[things I liked]
- To be very honest, this book did not have much of a plot. We kind of just follow the characters through their day to day mundane lives. I personally love character driven books so I actually really enjoyed this aspect of the book
- I wouldn’t necessarily categorize this book as part of the romance genre, but I thought the author did a good job conveying the confusion and intensity that comes with first love
- The writing was poetic and beautiful

[things I did not like]
- I liked the characters, but I wasn’t as invested in any of them as I wanted to be.
- The ending was kind of underwhelming and didn’t really like how things ended

I don’t think this book is for everyone, but If you enjoy books like Normal People then this one might be up your alley
