The opening of this book really drew me in, and I can't wait to read the entire novel. I'm a sucker for books set in Maine (blame a childhood Stephen King habit), so I was already excited about the setting. And I love the style, voice, and main character so far, though I'm prepped by the premise for a very dark narrative.
