While this book is not my preferred genre, I feel like it takes a unique approach to a YA story. Opening with a trigger warning for suicide and depression, the author encapsulates the scope of mental illness with incredible detail but also compassion. I found the beginning to have a rather slow start but I think it will pick up as the story progresses.
