Oh The Safe Place. I wanted to like you. I convinced myself that you were better than this. But, you were not. I read a first impression and was so excited that I received a copy of the book! But, that was about all I was excited about.

The twist was extremely predictable. I kept convincing myself Aurelia was a robot like in Jurassic Park. She was just a prototype and that’s why she was different. I didn’t want it to be that obvious that the girl was kidnapped and is now part of a new family. I wanted some type of surprise.
Emily was very unlikeable. She was extremely selfish and self centered. Also, the kissing with her boss? I don’t understand the role that had in developing the plot. She did redeem herself in the very end, but there was enough damage done.
