Emily is a failed actress, who just lost her job, her agent, and her apartment in the same day. When her former boss offers her the chance to come to his home on the coast of France, she jumps at the chance to go. When she arrives, she feels she’s stepped into heaven, as the place seems like a dream come true. She even finds herself enchanted by Nina, the wife, and even their daughter, Aurelia. But soon, Emily begins to question just how wonderful the place and people are.
I really enjoyed this story. It draws you in right from the beginning, and keeps you interested. The characters were all wonderfully written, and I could picture everything so clearly. The ending however, while you do reach a conclusion, it does leave you with some questions about certain things. But over all this was a wonderful book and I do recommend it. And I’ll definitely be looking for more from this author.
