This one took me a bit longer because life kept interrupting. It was an entertaining read, and I'm grateful that I had the opportunity to read it. However, it will not go down as a favorite.

It started off strong, alternating between the two main protagonists and an unknown third protagonist. It gave some great background about Emily's character and you quickly realize that the unknown narrator is Nina from the past.

Unfortunately, it slowed quite a bit with about 100 pages left. Then it became quite predictable and dropped some story lines that the author was developing, such as what happened in Emily's past. It is alluded to as important multiple times throughout the book, but then in the end, it is just dropped. I didn't enjoy that.

Overall, this was an enjoyable read. However, if thrillers are what you're looking for, there are many options that I would pick up before this one. I will be interested to read the author's next books, as I did see enough in this story to believe that as she writes more, her books will only get better. Looking forward to the next release!
