Emily is down on her luck. She’s a struggling actress who lost her temp job, lost her agent, and is being evicted. Scott is a successful businessman and has the perfect job opportunity lined up just for Emily. She thinks she’s landed the perfect dream job being a housekeeper, tutor, and companion to Scott’s wife and daughter at their secluded home in France. She’s enjoying herself until she starts noticing little things that don’t add up. Then she realizes the family has a bigger secret that may put her in danger.
I loved this book and couldn’t put it down. It took me a while to see where she was going with it and usually I can figure out a book pretty quick. I was shocked when I realized this was Anna Downes’ debut novel. It is so well written and I can’t wait to read more of her books!
