Less a Thriller, more an unsatisfying horror

The main character, hitting bottom in life, is approached by the CEO of a company that she's just been fired from a temp job, approaches her to become a personal assistant, dogbody to his wife in an idyllic property in South France. Over six weeks in her new role, she revels in the paradise, and her good luck. But after that, things start to sour, she recognizes things are a little weird, and then figures out she's part of an elaborate scam to cover up a terrible thing. All in all, an interesting premise, but I found myself a little bored, and unnecessarily creeped out by the child character in the book. Rather than a thriller, this read more like poor horror novel that left you a bit unsatisfied.
