I really liked the plot of this one and enjoyed the first three quarters of it but the end seemed to wrap up just a bit too quickly leaving me wanting more. I had memories of Louisa Clark from Me Before You. A young girl leaving and going to stay as a live in nanny basically. The plot is pretty intriguing and kept me hooked almost to the end.
I like the husband in the book and the wife too. I think the wife had more character development to her than anyone and she made for my favorite character. The little girl, though traumatized, and for good reason, didn't make much sense to me and really kind of irritated me more than anything.
I though Emily could have been better thought out. She was smart but only when we didn't expect her to be and then other times she was way too ignorant to her surroundings and way too trusting of someone just because she liked them.
