This book is told in dual viewpoints, which is a format I absolutely love. We open with Emily, who is having a terrible time in life - she’s behind on her bills, she’s struggling to get her acting career going, she just lost her job and has no one to turn to. Then we have her boss, Scott, who has lived a charmed life and seemingly couldn’t ask for more, but clearly has his own secrets. Just from the sneak peek, I’m totally sucked in. It’s obvious that Emily and Scott haven’t crossed paths for the last time. What are Scott’s plans for Emily? Why did he injure himself on purpose? Where is his wife calling him from and what is she panicked about? What big secrets is Scott harboring? I can’t wait to find out!
