This book started introducing the main character, Emily Proudman. She is a young woman who until now a job in the acting industry. Thanks to this job she's able to live independently, in her nice apartment. One day she arrives at work, almost late, she encounters the company's CEO, Mr Scott Denny. Emily salutes the mysterious CEO, after this pleasant scene her direct boss David Mahoney talks to her. This is not going to be a good day for Emily, David is firing her. I can't imagine the situation Emily felt when she was at the supermarket, trying to buy some food that will help her digest this dreadful news, and not being able to pay in front of the supermarket's employee. Mr Scott is investigating his former employee, Emily. I want to know what are his intentions if he is going to help her. I would also like to know if Emily apologizes and ameliorates her friendship with Juliet.
