What happens to the boys?
The Rib King sounds fascinating. It's a look into a part of history that I have no experience with. And I'm already engaged with these characters. Will Sitwell and Jennie become more than just friends and co-workers? What happens to the three orphan boys? Do they remain together, or are they separated? And most of all, I want to know who August is, and I want to see whether the use of his recipe can save the Barclay family fortunes.
Given the current climate in today's society, the idea of a white family commandeering a recipe created by a Black man for their own gain is one that should be appalling. I'm hoping this story gives insight into history and why things are the way they are currently.
