The storyline is unique and it’s a very generous length of an excerpt. I couldn’t get drawn into it. I went back to reread the description after reading the first part of the excerpt and I think the story sounds too sad for my enjoyment. I think that cover is at odds with the storyline too. I understand not wanting the sauce bottle to be offensive but maybe an entirely different cover might work better. This cover looks sci-fi to me.
