This story takes us around many parts of the world. Doris a 96 year old woman who lives alone reminiscing about her life and the adventures and struggles she encountered. She was gifted a red address book where she writes the names of every person she meets throughout her life. She realizes sitting in her kitchen all alone, that all those people that has impacted her life some way have all died by crossing out the name of the individual.

Although I enjoyed some aspects of the story, I'm sad to say it fell short for me. I wish the author had developed some of the characters better. Some parts felt unreal and I felt it was thrown in just to create a story. The ending was cute but predictable. This story saddened me on making it so realistic on how a lot of senior folks live with no living friends or family and having caretakers that only are there for the income.
