As much as I tried, I just could not get fully engaged in this book. It moved along very slowly in the beginning, and I was waiting for things to pick up, but they did not. It felt like the story and the characters were all over the place. I had a hard time connecting with any of the characters, and a hard time making an emotional connection. I really wanted to like it and as I kept reading I thought it would get more interesting, but it only got interesting in the last 5 chapters or so and at the very end. I did like the ending, but I wish the build-up from the beginning would have been better. I did not care for the style of writing that much either, it did not flow as nicely as I would have liked. From my first impression, I thought I would really like this book, but it was just ok for me. I am not saying this book was bad, I just saying this book was not for me.
