So, I had to get to a point where I could stop crying long enough to write this review, but I think I've finally gotten there. Goodness, but this was a good story! It took a few chapters for me to get used to the style, and the switching between past and present, between first person and third. But once I got the hang of it, I couldn't put it down!

All I want to do is wrap Doris in a giant hug and hold her until all of her hurt is gone. So many times in this story, I just wanted something to go right for her. However, this story is more about finding the beautiful in the place where you are and making the most out of the life you've got.

Any person can relate to this story, as every person has something in their life that didn't work out the way they wanted it to - a job they didn't get, a college they didn't get into, a relationship that ended in a way that didn't give anyone closure... the list could go on. However, for everything that doesn't go our way, we get something wonderful, if we're wise enough to see it. I loved this story, and would recommend it to pretty much everybody!
