After meeting Doris, you come to know her feeling of loss, futility and her wait for death. The author has done a wonderful job of painting the lonliness and desperation of becoming old. We get glimpses of the colorful past that Doris lived and I hope that the rest of the sory brings her some happiness and light. I want to read the rest of the book. I am sure Doris has wisdom and knowledge to share with us!
