I have alot of personal experience of the friends to lovers scenario so obviously this is a trope that is near and dear to me and one I enjoy!
As friends you feel the need to protect each other and that is what has happened between Selena and Knox. I enjoyed reading into their past heartaches and sympathized with them both so much. It's hard to give love a chance when you've been thru the kind of pain both of these characters have.
Overall the book was actually relatively short for so much to be going on and where it did fall flat for me was the mystery that was supposed to be the appearance/disappearance of Selena's first husband? Either I missed something big or this was never really concluded but other than that it was a fun quick saucy romance.
