The cover and storyline drew me in and I usually don't read YA books, but the characters quickly drew my attention and stayed with me, it quickly reminds us of our youth at camps and how we were drawn into friendships and the need to be liked, as well as the silly and dumb mistakes we made. These kids tried to be true, follow the rules, and survive camp. The book made me laugh out loud and the author found a way to tell their backgrounds at just the right place in the story to draw you closer to each character. The author has brought the adventures of troup 99 bringing you along with them, making you laugh, allowing you to be brave, and belong. It gives you hope that you can succeed despite fear and challenges that often hold us back. I commend the author in the ability to bring us back to our youth and remember all those feelings. I suggest you pick up this book and join this Camp adventure.
