Basically, you can read from the beginning until page 57 and then pick up again at 338 and read to the end and you’d still read too much. There is a fantasy story written around this love story that is completely meaningless. There is a huge setup for a world that is really just a backdrop for two people to act out the same tired will they won’t they sort of scenario written in hundreds of other books. I cannot express deeply enough how meaningless the fantasy elements of the story are. Nothing is followed up on or completed or incorporated into the ending of the book.
I see that this starts a series, but I can't understand what about this book would inspire anyone to continue reading.
