One thing I hated about the book, I couldn’t read it fast enough! I really enjoyed this book from front to back. Shadow is such a sassy I do what I want kind of character who is also very naive and kind of bossy. She’s goes through the whole journey believing that Cal is acting but he also does too. Both have hope and doubts and it drove me crazy but had me swooning with their banter.
Cal was your typical loyal heroic swoon worthy character but for some reason when ever I would picture him, I would picture a handsome yet quirky character. He allows himself to gain feelings without really addressing them. And when we think he’s about to he reverts back just as shadow did because they were so new to the thought and feeling of love.
Throughout the book I did predict a few things but the shock was, well shocking! Im a big fan of Melissa’s writing and it has been a long while since I read anything from her. So this was really nice for me. I’m eagerly waiting for book two!
