This book was enchanting. The mysteries of the woods and magical characters along with the tribes. I loved Shadow’s willingness to go for why she wanted. I can appreciate a feminist in this writing. Because everyone of us feels there is something we need to prove. Shadow reminded me of Sleeping beauty, living in the woods with her fairy godmothers. That’s what shadow made me feel and Cale didn’t take anything away from her strength he encouraged her and her powers. Ugh I truly loved it. But the shocker that got me was the day that the queen herself revealed who she was and what connection she had to shadow. I was left shocked! I would pick this book up again and again.
