The cover art of The Queen's Assassin is striking and draws the eye, even from a distance. I am not usually a fantasy reader, whether it be YA or adult, but there is something about this novel that calls to me. There is nothing particularly unique about this book, but I like the idea of a strong female character, and an equally strong male one, teaming up to hunt down a threat to them all. Overall, this veteran writer always has strong world building and well imagined main characters, so I would be interested in reading The Queen's Assassin in its entirety.
