The cover for Queen’s Assassin is beautiful and definitely would draw my attention to it if it was sitting on a bookshelf. After reading the opening pages, the story itself holds up to the beautiful cover. Instantly, the reader is thrown into a world of tension and intrigue as we find out the King of Rénovia is dead and the Deian scrolls are missing. The author does an excellent job of immersing the reader in the story with sensory details, so much so that you feel you are right next to Shadow. Now with Shadow being summoned to court, I look forward to seeing how the plot thickens.
