This fantasy novel is full of amazing creatures and powerful characters! I couldn't stop reading because right away you are pulled into a magical world where you are charmed by the War Monk, Gemma. She is a spunky and mysterious character that always keeps you guessing and wanting more. The story building in just the first few pages is incredible and make you feel like you are apart of this strange new world. We are introduced to the magic of this universe very early on, but still are waiting in anticipation to see the full power of magic at play. We are also waiting to figure out which of the two queendoms, spearheaded two by sisters, will come out on top. I would recommend this book to people who love reading books with butt-kicking warriors and mythology. This is a great book even for those who may not enjoy reading. I cannot wait to continue reading the rest of this book!
