The only thing about the series is that you don't want it to end. Even when the current story arc ends and you have a wonderful ending, there's something about G.A. Aiken's writing that never seems to be enough.

The Princess Knight is a wonderful story. It's got a little bit of everything, drama, emotions, passion, angst, and humor. It's a fantasy rom-com with dramatic elements. It fits into all categories and yet none. I love the fact the story is told in third person, which makes it easy to follow along with the multiple simultaneous story arcs. It's easy to follow along and makes for a richer reading experience.

I also love how the language is not typical for a fantasy novel. Usually the world building comes with extremely complicated and hard to pronounce names, which is not the case here. The world building is superb nonetheless.

I laughed and cried while reading this book and I already know the wait for the next book in the Scarred Earth Saga will be a long one, but the wait worth it.
