I just love the cover of this novel. Even the title is intriguing. However, after reading the excerpt, I don't think I would enjoy the book. Somehow, I just couldn't connect with the characters and I got lost in the plot. I missed the reasoning as to why Pieter had to die and why Tate eventually had to leave and not come back. And were only boys that were banished? In any event, while I do enjoy YA Fantasy, this particular novel just wasn't my cup of tea.
