Have you heard of the Baader–Meinhof phenomenon? It's when someone mentions something to you, or you see something for the first time, and then you see the aforementioned thing absolutely everywhere. That happened when I saw @csquaredreads post this book. Soon after, I saw it absolutely everywhere and I knew I needed to read this.

This was quite a good thriller. I knew what happened about 20% into the book, but I wanted to know how it would happen. Plus, I loved the meta nature of having the best selling book interspersed within the novel. I also had a feeling where that was going, but only because I've read so many thrillers that I can predict almost anything.

I found the main character to be incredibly annoying and I disliked him a lot, but that made this journey more interesting. I was rooting against him and enjoyed it. But once the twist in this book is revealed, your jaw will drop. It's that good.
