When I first read a summary of this book, I was intrigued. It sounded like such a good idea, and also a bit complex and mysterious. The summary made me excited to read it.
That being said, it was a super slow build. I felt like it took a very long time for the author to say what she needed to say to move the story along. And then it jumps to the main character's life after he has stolen the plot of a book. Felt a little disconnected for me. There was a big plot twist that got interesting, but you will have to get through two thirds of the book to find out what it is. The whole thing is just slow moving.
I have to say, I heard a lot about this book. It was getting some good hype, which made me look it up, love the summary, and then choose to read it. It was fine, and the writing was good, but I can not really give it more than three stars because it was a little boring and too drawn out.
