I love this so much already.
From the moment I saw the unsettling front cover of PLOT, I thought I was entering a clever murder mystery---and perhaps I am.
Judging by the synopsis and the first two chapters of this book, this story will be very "meta" and will check many of the boxes I (an MFA recipient, poet, and budding novelist) am constantly looking for: characters who are writers, an elevated writing style and sense of humor, and an excellent drama or suspense piece.
I already have my suspicions about who Evan will be and what is contained in his "plot" that Jake ultimately finds so appealing... but like a great Gillian Flynn novel, I'm doing my best to quiet my guesses and enjoy the ride these first two chapters have promised me.
Whether or not I win the raffle, I'll absolutely be picking this up to read the rest!
