This is one of my new favorite books for sure! I really enjoyed reading this book and was immediately hooked by the author's writing style. I was drawn in from the start and was intrigued because I don't typically read books of this genre. I loved that this book focused a lot on the Korean culture and the history of Koreans in Hawaii. It was also interesting to see the differences and assimilation with both cultures. In terms of the character of Willow, I enjoyed reading about her and enjoyed reading how her character develops throughout the book. I appreciate the fact that the author is a Korean woman herself and I always love seeing women of color writing great books! The other thing that I absolutely loved about this book was the cover! The colors are beautiful and it's such an intriguing cover that fits the theme of this book really well.
