A young Korean woman, Willow, finds herself in pre-World War I Korea, without a chance to marry, finish her schooling, or make a life for herself. When she learns that she could become a ‘picture bride’, along with her good friend, the two young women depart for Hawaii, where their futures await. Unfortunately, the promises that they were enticed with, turn out to be very different than what they were led to believe would be their fate. Very moving story of Korean-Hawaiian, South Pacific Islanders.
