Historical fiction usually isn't my number one choice for reads, but the subject seemed intriguing, so I thought I'd read the first look. Willow is given a picture of a Korean man in America and told if she marries him she can go to school. He's a landowner, and Hawaii is plentiful, so she's promised a good life. I wasn't immediately captivated by the writing style here. I'd have to read more before I made any decisions, but so far I'm just on the fence.
