The Picture Bride looks as if the author has painted a beautiful look at a disturbing subject. Set in 1918 a young Korean woman becomes a picture bride with high hopes. Her hopes are dashed by the man she marries and things seem hopeless. I am sure the picture will brighten and the young woman will persevere.
