Perhaps I am just not the right reader for this, but the writing seems to have a stale quality to me. There’s nothing that really flows about it and, to me, a good flow is just as important as the story, maybe even more so. Because sometimes the writing style wins me over when I wasn’t yet sold on the storyline. In this case, the synopsis didn’t interest me and the writing didn’t change that.
