Over the years, I’ve read many books by Lisa See, all of which I’ve loved. The cover here and the book’s summary remind me of Lisa See’s novels and I believe I’d like The Picture Bride. The Picture Bride also appeals to me because I am very interested in the immigrant experience, especially for women.
