A young idealistic psychiatrist chooses to start his career in an underfunded state mental institution. A young man who entered the hospital when he was 4 years old. There are frightening stories and warnings to never go near this patient. The psychiatrist was at the top of his class and wants to cure the patient even though other doctors over the years have failed. This is a horror story that I couldn’t put down and will be long remembered. The cover is eye-catching and the book is easy to read. It's understandable that a good doctor wants to take on the challenge of the most difficult and mysterious patient, but one needs to be careful of what they ask for. There's a history that needs to be heeded.
