I absolutely LOVED this book! It took off like a shot and was super-speed paced up until the very end! Parker H. is a young psychiatrist who has gotten a job at a mental asylum. Parker learns of a patient who is a forty-year old man, who was committed when he was six years old. Parker becomes obsessed with helping the man and trying to figure out what exactly is wrong with him, as he comes across as pretty normal. Every person who has tried to help the patient has either been driven to madness or has committed suicide, and since the patient does not even have an official diagnosis, Parker sets out to "cure" him. But then, strange things begin happening to Parker and he is not sure if it is because of the patient or something from his past. This book speeds out of control to the finish line, with an ending that I had to read multiple times. I loved it!
