The beginning of this story was so so good! It pulled me right in both with the exposition and with the storytelling style of blog posts. However, we reach the climax of the story and it just fell flat for me. Instead of being a psychological thriller which it was up to that point, it suddenly became a paranormal novel. I did not like that change at all, but others might! The beginning of this novella was good enough to still get 3 stars though, so go off that what you will! It just felt like the author did not know how to get out of the story so just changed the genre made it spooky and then abruptly ended it.
*spoilers* The patient escapes and then it jumps forward to present day to where the main character now treats people with night terrors because of the patient's potential species. It was just weird and did not feel like it fit with the rest of the story. *end spoilers*
