Right from the start, The Patient seemed like a thrilling horror novel. It's a remix of a classic horror trope: the doctor becomes the patient (and vice versa). But Jasper DeWitt seems to be putting a new spin on it, so I have no doubt that this tale will be fresh and horrifying.
The first look is so creepy and dark. It was borderline too much for me at times, leaving me a bit on the fence about reading more (even while I am extremely curious about the conclusion).
